Gillian has always been a reader. Her love of discussing, analysing, and writing about books led her to study English Literature at university.

Queer writing was often missing from the books she encountered during her studies, so discovering the breadth of sapphic literature available today has been a particular joy. For the past two years, she has been reading and reviewing queer fiction on Bookstagram, sharing the stories that moved her, surprised her, and stayed with her.
